About Us
Shiraz GNU/Linux Users Group or "ShirazLUG" is an independent, non-profit, public group of computer users interested in GNU/Linux living in Shiraz. The central theme of ShirazLUG meetings is the intellectual-historical foundations of free software, introduction, installation and use of various GNU/Linux distributions, development of GNU/Linux distributions and other free software, introduction of free programming languages and how to program with them, general data security in Internet, multi-platform software, free discussion in the field of free software and other issues related to free software or user communities related to them. In fact, ShirazLUG is a community of free software users who want to spend some time together.

گروه کاربران گنو/لینوکس شیراز یا «شیرازلاگ» گروهی مستقل، مردم‌نهاد، ناسودبر و عمومی از کاربران رایانه علاقه‌مند به گنو/لینوکس ساکن شیراز می‌باشد. تم محوری نشست‌های شیرازلاگ عبارت است از مبانی فکری-تاریخی نرم‌افزارهای آزاد، معرفی، نصب و استفاده از توزیع‌های مختلف گنو/لینوکس، توسعه‌ی توزیع‌های گنو/لینوکس و دیگر نرم‌افزارهای آزاد، معرفی زبان‌های برنامه‌نویسی آزاد و چگونگی برنامه‌نویسی با آن‌ها، امنیت عمومی داده‌ها در اینترنت، نرم‌افزارهای چندسکویی، بحث آزاد در حوزه‌ی نرم‌افزار آزاد و دیگر مسایل مرتبط با نرم‌افزارهای آزاد یا اجتماع‌های کاربری مرتبط با آن‌ها. در واقع شیرازلاگ یک اجتماع از کاربران نرم افزار آزاد است که مایلند دقایقی را در کنار هم سپری کنند.
