FSanches, if you want to improve that table add some column that would tell whether device can modify/view contents of ram where linux is executing and also whether firmware is signed or not. Situation where you have unsigned blob is pretty promising and situation when you have signed blob or you don't have it at all is pretty terrible. Eg. ThinkPad trackpoint code is hidden away and hasn't been even dumped to this date while all patents have expired or are expiring very soon (80C51 code) but when you get to see blob and you know what core is it running on you can reverse it (and provide a libre replacement). And if Linux happens to be able to load that blob that's even better for the user when such reversing succedes.

deblob-config script

Hey, I made an script based on this at Parabola's git, currently for 4.16+ (and I'll also add support for 4.14 and 4.9 LTS). I thought that maybe someone (me?) could add the new CONFIG lines here based on what it's there. It'll always be up-to-date since we always use the latest kernels at Parabola. In fact, I just realized about the existence of this page which is why I made this change in the README.md file of the repository. --Megver83 (talk) 18:10, 20 May 2018 (EDT)
