About Us + Goals

The LibrePlanet Boston Team is a group of activists, volunteers, technologists, and computer users that collaborate to achieve the following goals:

  • Create a community where everyday users of free software can ask questions and trade tips.
  • Organize outreach: tabling, giving out free (as in freedom and beer) FOSS CDs and literature.
  • Develop presentations and marketing material that can be used to educate people on free software.

We operate in accordance with the LibrePlanet Mission Statement and Code of Conduct.

Meetings

Meetings are held monthly on the first Wednesday of each month. Please always confirm date, time and location via our calendar or our email announcement. Our calendar is currently hosted by Meetup.com. However, meetings are also announced via the BLU 'announce' mailing list.
