So that the name 'LibrePlanet' is strongly associated with a clear goal, and so individual groups can cooperate and collaborate effectively, all LibrePlanet participants agree with this set of founding principles:

Mission Statement
Code of Conduct

Running a Team

All members are encouraged to help run their local team and whatever efforts it has running, or to lead new undertakings for the team. The task of operating a LibrePlanet team can be a fun challenge. Anyone can do it, but by no means does leadership need to be handled by just one person.

Activities

Your LibrePlanet team should keep as active as possible! Teams are about connecting people involved with free software who can help each other, advocate free software, and bring in new users.

Recruiting

Recruiting is really important when trying to get your team off the ground. Reach out to everyone you know who may possibly be interested and make a list of local free software and GNU/Linux user groups. Draft an email announcing the LibrePlanet Team and asking for at least one person from the group to act as the contact to coordinate collaboration between the teams and keep them in touch with each other.

Collaboration

LibrePlanet groups are broad and should always help those who are working in line with our mission. Teams are encouraged to collaborate with one another.

Working on the site
