In addition to the lineup of events here, community members are hosting lunches and dinners during the conference weekend. Reserve a spot now, or start your own.

Friday, March 18

The Return of SpinachCon!

RSVP instructions and more information.

SpinachCon is an afternoon-long open house aimed at improving the experience of using and contributing to free software projects. Volunteers come by and try out basic tasks provided by participating projects. This year, we'll be doing two types of testing: user testing and new contributor testing. Volunteers can try out either or both types of testing. Every project at the event will have at least two people representing it, so volunteers can get to know - and get help from - the people behind the projects.

When: 12:30 - 17:00, Friday 3/18

Free Software Foundation Open House

Mingle at the FSF office before the conference with speakers and other attendees. Refreshments will be served. Check in and receive your nametag here, and skip the line on Saturday!

Saturday, March 19

LibrePlanet Party!

Enjoy appetizers and beverages provided by the FSF and spend time with the LibrePlanet community. The Elephant and Castle has a full bar and kitchen, and is open to all ages and is wheelchair accessible. The restaurant is close to the FSF office, accessible from the MIT Stata Center by taking the Red Line from the Kendall/MIT stop toward Braintree/Ashmont, to the Downtown Crossing stop. The restaurant is located at 161 Devonshire Street, a 5-minute walk from Downtown Crossing station.

Sunday, March 20

Sunday pub night

Grendel's Den in Harvard Square is a favorite among the Boston-area free software community. Join us at this local institution, which offers reasonable prices on good food and beer in a quirky and cozy atmosphere.
