LibrePlanet 2016 Feedback

Invited to share: All LibrePlanet attendees (madmod: dm@madmod.com) What to Share: what worked well, what didn't Suggestions: Improvements, Annoyances, (but keep it to the points--no rants)

I'll start by suggesting a map of the rooms in the brochure would help in future conferences.

Suggestion for coping with lunch: near your hotel, find a deli and buy a grinder the night before. Store it in your room fridge. Then put it in a small flexible lunchbox with a plastic water bottle with a fridge blue ice brick. Keep all that in your backback on a conference day. Now lunch is easy.

Suggestion for those wanting to get to group party: Show easy directions to and back from the Strata to the party on the subways. Out-of-towners probably don't know how to cope with subways. (Tickets, Stations, Stops) Detailed maps would help.

Suggestions for Info: Post on the website who's in charge of the conference, what they do, where they hang out at the conference. (You folks are heros. We need to know you and how to find you.)

Last suggestion of mine: keep the conference website current the two weeks before the conference. People coming from a distance depend upon the best info that can be provided at the time to best plan their Saturday and Sunday. Speaker info and session info sometimes didn't match up well this year.

The DRM demonstration event at the end of the conference was awesome.
