The Free Software Foundation Palestine (FSFP) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the furthering of Free Software, and works to promote freedom in emerging digital society. founded by Hatem Zyoud on 31 January 2012 to support the free software movement, a copyleft-based movement which aims to promote the universal freedom to create, distribute and modify computer software. The FSFP is City in Jenin , Palestine.

Free Software term describes practices in production and development that promote access to the source code of software. Some consider Free Software a philosophy, others consider it a pragmatic methodology. Before the term Free Software became widely adopted, developers and producers used a variety of phrases to describe the concept; Free Software gained reputation with the rise of the Internet, and the increasing need for massive utilization of the computing source code. Opening the source code enabled many developers to build using many production models, helped growing new communication paths, and created interactive communities.
