Welcome to the LibrePlanet Student Council page

The Libreplanet Student Council is a council composed of students affiliated with the FSF, students from projects belonging to or in the free software movement, and interested parties.

The council is a space that gives more representation, voice, and breadth to debates, dialogues, issues, and student work involving free software, and is also responsible for promoting and developing the mission statement in the student sphere.

The same, makes up the student movement, however, following the guidelines imposed in LibrePlanet's code of conduct and the philosophy of the free software movement.

The main focus of the council is to take the free software movement into the student environment (schools, universities and other institutions), together with their student organizations, working in defense of freedom, education, and the user. Furthermore, it serves as an incentive for students to produce research and free software.
