Group talk: SyncReplacement

Could we get a mailing list setup? Seems like a wiki page isn't the best way to collaborate. I suggest a Google group.

I've changed the layout of the page. I hope nobody hates it. There's lots of space for more details, we need especially to fill in information about the existing solutions. We can then use that to create our own feature list. I agree about the wiki not being the best place to collaborate but it's probably the best place to keep this information. Gerrylo, maybe you could start a Google Group for us?

Tox

What about Tox? https://tox.im I think that it can be used since as base developement it's GPLv3 licensed and use P2P tehcnology which can be reusebleat this project.

Pulse

What about Pulse? I think this is exactly what we want and it IS Free Software: https://ind.ie/pulse/ Danial 22:04, 20 November 2014 (EST)

Ori file system

Have you heard about Ori file system? May be worth to mention the project. It is open source and seems to have similar functions and purposes as the BitTorrentSync. This is the project page: http://ori.scs.stanford.edu/

My view on replication of the PSK system used by BTSync

I wrote a post on this on my wiki: http://wiki.lapingvino.nl/Pre-Shared%20Key%20syncing%20blueprint

Comments are very welcome, and I would love to see this implemented. Edits/improvements would be cool too, but first check if you read it correctly ;). --Lapingvino 18:14, 30 November 2014 (EST)
