Description
Submit at the minimum three quality bug reports to a free software project. Even though additional bug reports will not appear on your profile, they will be factored in when task are submitted. A quality bug report involves more than just a short description of what does or does not work. It should include enough information so that developers can reproduce the bug, and be specific enough so that developers know exactly what the problem is. Of course, good bug reports must not be duplicates of other existing bugs in the project's bug tracker.
How to get started
The first step would be to locate the project's bug tracker, and register an account. Then, download the most recent version of the chosen software available, an alpha version or SVN if possible.
