Talk: Tivoization

- Signed blobs are a very important topic to discuss. "Tivoization" is probably not the best term to associate with this important topic for a new discussion though. TiVo still exists technically, but it was only popular for a few years twenty years ago. Not many people remember what a TiVo is now because recording live TV is a common feature bundled in cable boxes branded by the cable company. Live TV is not as common as well. Understanding the term Tivoization requires understanding what a TiVo was, understanding the relationship between TiVo and GPL licenses, and then applying this understanding to a concept probably found in their pocket, car, and home.
