Surrey LUG is a friendly Linux user group. If you have any interest in Linux, GNU (or related systems such as *BSD, Solaris, OpenSolaris, etc) and are based in Surrey, then come along to one of our meetings! New members are always very welcome, no matter what your skill level, even if you're just looking for a different system from the one that came installed on your computer.
Features:
- We are a friendly bunch of people from all walks of life. You will find all kinds of people here, ranging from beginners to gurus.
- We have an active mailing list with a high signal-to-noise ratio (more details on the homepage above).
- You can pop into our IRC chatroom here (login details and a convenient web-based IRC client all ready for you): [2]http://surrey.lug.org.uk/Chat/IRC
- Monthly BaB (Bring-a-Box) sessions with talks (sometimes), socials (always) and loads of interesting characters.
