This article is very browser centric to Firefox when it shows NoScript, thus trying to lock people down to Firefox. This plugin is not available to non-Xulrunner platforms (which is basically everything that's not Firefox). Recommendation: Show how to block scripts in other browsers, or advocate adding blocking to browsers that don't have it. The English grammar has errors that need amending, but I don't seem to have edit rights.

Blocking google.com with NoScript disables javascript all over the google domain. I am not aware of the status of Google's javascript in other pages, but since this is just for Gmail, could there be a way that doesn't disable js for the rest of the google services? I used YesScript (which operates on a blacklist rather on a whitelist) and blacklisted just mail.google.com. Since a lot of people use NoScript, it seems that NoScript and YesScript work together, but I didn't test this thoroughly.

You can use this page https://mail.google.com/support/bin/static.py?page=suggestions.cs (requires Javascript!) to suggest a new feature to Google. I believe perhaps this is the best way to communicate our message, rather than using the help center, that has a purpose of helping users with technical problems rather than suggest new features. I submitted the feature under the category "Other" and used the text "Make Gmail FOSS-friendly by releasing its Javascript code under a free software license." --Chazisop 15:28, 31 March 2011 (EDT)
