Nem ID (http://nemid.info/) er et nyt værktøj rettet mod nemmere læsning og ændring af ens personlige information her i Danmark. Nem ID linker i høj grad næsten det hele sammen og gør det fx muligt at bruge netbank og mange andre ting med de samme passwords. Klienten er en Java applet, og dette betyder at OpenJDK sandsynligvis kan køre det, hvilket er godt.
Nem ID (http://nemid.info/) is a new tool meant for more easily accessing personal information online in Denmark. Nem ID links pretty much all services together, making it possible to do netbanking as well as many other things using the same passwords. The client is a Java applet, which means that it should run fine in OpenJDK, which is good.
I slutningen af 2010 er det meningen at alle danskere skal have muligheden for at bruge NemID til at have adgang til både private of offentlige services på en nem måde og forhåbentlig også sikker måde. Der er dog et problem: Hvordan dette system virker (og vi taler om et centraliseret system der kommer til at indeholde en database af alt vigtigt personlig information) er helt skjult.
At the end of 2010, all danes will have the possibility to use Nem ID to access both private and public services relatively easily and hopefully also securely. There is one problem, though: The inner workings of this system (and we're talking about a system that's going to contain a centralized database of all important personal information) are complety hidden.

Rent faktisk fik jeg i en besvarelse af en e-mail jeg (Nqpz 21:47, 23 July 2010 (UTC)) sendte til udvikleren af denne service (DanID, http://danid.dk/) at vide at de med vilje havde valgt "security by obscurity"-princippet til at holde styr på sikkerheden.[1] Som vi alle ved er det denne utroligt fantastiske type virusbeskyttelse som fx Microsoft bruger.
