A good example and good question asking if hardware specifications are available for the graphics driver in the Lemote Yeeloong: lemote SMI VGA chip - is a datasheet available?
Note: The above mailing list post is a good example of politeness and at the same time asking a question that I've had a long time on my mind, although maybe because I'm not very good at diplomacy and/or politeness I could not ask it yet.
Interesting to know that. More women involved in computer science for a male/female balance in community:
From wiktionary: caucus (plural caucuses)
- (US) A meeting, especially a preliminary meeting, of persons belonging to a party, to nominate candidates for public office, or to select delegates to a nominating convention, or to confer regarding measures of party policy; a political primary meeting.
- (Canadian) A grouping of all the members of a legislature from the same party.
(I've stalled. Maybe I've become bored. Maybe it was a too big task for me.) Working on to free this game: Starfighter which resides in the Software blacklist

Buying computer hardware that respects software freedom
I'm thinking of buying a computer which supports FLOSS 3D accelerated graphics. (careful that all software even in 3D graphics, including the microcode is documented and FLOSS). I'm afraid I can't support companies which support coreboot, like AMD. I want Intel's X4500 GMA, and from what I read it has released it's 3D acceleration hardware microcode.
Searching for FLOSS 3D hardware acceleration
Intel GMA. (Intel Motherboard integrated graphics accelerator hardware)
But avoid:
- Intel GMA 500 (No FLOSS and badly documented. Seriously! Avoid it at all costs!)

Possibly a future motherboard
-
ASUS P5QL-CM (G43. GMA X4500, 70€)
- DDR2 SDRAM 800Mhz (2GBx2=total 4GB, 85€)
- Core 2 Quad (4 cores at 2.66Ghz, FSB max, 152€)
- Hard drive: 250GB, SATA2, 7200rpm (36€)
- Is this PSU any good? (50€ rounded up) (I was reading about.com's PC Power Supply Buyer's Guide, (PSU))
- Case -- Asus Vento TA-863 (24€ rounded up)
Not too much bound to the motherboard
- Philips LCD (100€ rounded up)
- Keyboard (can't I choose the meta key saying "GNU"?, 11€)
