Philippe Gauthier

I do advocacy for free software, free information, and digital freedom in general. I believe that these efforts are part of a global community education project. For this project to succeed it is often necessary that we teach by example and promote the use of free tools by using them ourselves. I live in Montréal, Québec, Canada and I speak French and English.

My political background has developed in the student union at the Université de Montréal by representing my department in the academic council. Although this had nothing to do with free software, I could learn how to organize in order to bring positive change in a large public organization.
