Details
I've worked as a software engineer for the past five years on all manner of projects using all sorts or proprietary and non-proprietary software. In my spare time, I do a lot of development using free software tools and programming languages and wherever possible try to influence my peers to do the same. I started off doing web-development at about 13 using Microsoft Word and producing some truly horrendous results. Happily since then I've seen the light and now use free software tools wherever possible and am happiest when sat in front of a screen full of code.
Location
The meeting will take place at the usual time, 7pm, at Madlab on Edge Street in the Northern Quarter. "(Between Thomas St and the Craft Centre, opposite A Bar Called Common)". We will be located upstairs. The venue provides wifi. The talk is followed by an informal discussion in the bar opposite (A Place Called Common).
If you would like five minutes to tell us about something, please send an email to fsuk-manchester-team@nongnu.org.
