1.1 Minutes of Meeting of 13th July 2009

Mintues of last meeting 8th June 2009 approved as correct.

Attending Lucy (chair), Matt M (minutes), Tim, Mark, Michael. Apologies Simon, Jonathan, Leslie

1.2 Announcements Tim is talking at Open Source Schools Unconference in DEFY capacity as co-organiser. Action - Tim to release his archive of videos.

1.3 Room Bookings ACTION - The group agreed that Lcuy should book the Salmon suite at the Lass O'Gowrie for Sep-Nov.

1.4 Speakers Tim has been speaking to Chris Warburton of SFOSS, for November talk. Tim has e-mailed Steve Clayton from Sun Microsystems. Tim has spoken to a contact at Microsoft. Tim has e-mailed Noah Slater. Tim has spoken to James of Accessspace Sheffield. ACTION - Tim to find out when Manchester Digital event is taking place. ACTION - Tim is going to chase up more speakers from the wiki list and elsewhere.

1.5 Membership Fees Michael had idea that the group should charge membership fees. The group decided not to proceed with membership fees at this time but consider soliciting donations from events attendees.

1.6 The Arcspace Project Leslie attended an event at Arcspace saturday gone. Michael and Lucy have arranged to meet with Vicky Sinclair of Arcspace to discuss a hackspace event next year. ACTION - Lucy to ask Leslie to update the group.

1.7 Software Freedom Day Leslie has been organising Software Freedom Day, including speaking to several DJ's and MDDA to provide space.

1.8 Changes to the Team Mailing List. The new list has been successfully implemented.

1.9 Any Other Business Matt Larsen has moved to London and not been able to arrange stall at freshers fair. The group discussed the future of FSUK. ACTION - Tim to setup IRC meeting with Matt Lee.
