What if contributing to Free Software was made a lot easier by a few hours of training ? You could get this training at Upstream University, which was created by the Free Software Foundation France, in April 2012, with this sole goal of improving developers' contribution skills. Upstream University has since coached new OpenStack contributors, developers for the kernel Linux and many others. The morning of the Upstream University workshop is dedicated to a presentation of the contribution process where every participant will get a chance to discuss their own experience. You are invited to register in advance to let us know which project you are interested in. The hands-on session in the afternoon is focused on cooperative building, as shown in the photo below. There is no telling what will emerge from the large stack of lego bricks. It will be a unique way to learn how your contribution skills could be improved.
