Proposals

• Launch a joint fundraising campaign to donate to the FSF, EFF, Public Knowledge, and Creative Commons on behalf of ASCAP and NMPA in response to their letter opposing free culture. All that would be needed is a simple website which has one page explaining the issue, and another with links to these organizations to donate/join. • Draft a "Free Software Statement" which businesses, nonprofits, and schools can adopt to declare their support for free software, ensuring their websites are standards compliant and that they will use and recommend free tools. LibrePlanet Conference

• It should be an international event that is also hosted outside the U.S. just like GPLv3 conferences. This can be done in collaboration with other FSF* organizations. In addition, it should be in summer instead of March where many people are able to consider attending.
