I'd like to talk about the recent effort that I have started to gather documentation on the devices that are not fully supported by free-software because non-free firmware is required. The purpose of documenting these devices in to foster the development of free firmware for them. This effort is complementar to the LinuxLibre effort.

During the last recent years I've been actively discussing the Free Software Movement strategies. I am currently a co-mantainer of one of the projects in the FSF High Priority Projects list (GNU LibreDWG). This list is very important for raising awareness on the critical areas where we are still lacking free software support. I will quickly present some suggestions of projects that I consider critical and that are currently not listed there.

Should there be a free software app store?

Apple's iPhone App Store iconically restricts users' and developers' freedoms, but lots of people are signing up to code for it -- even making their entire livelihoods from it.

Since the free software movement has encouraged selling free software since its beginnings, should we be thinking about app stores for free software? Would end-users pay for free software if they were asked to?

What precedents exist for this? How much free software is in existing app stores?
