Say something about how people can look up your public key like in a phone book and send you encrypted mail even if they haven't met you before? "Stored in the open on a Web site" doesn't quite capture it.
Should say something about how even if you have nothing to hide, encrypting even everyday mails makes bulk surveillance a lot harder.
Shouldn't focus on "the email system" -- rather should say that emails pass through many many hands on the way to their destination, and at many of those points they are in clear plain text. I don't think it's worth emphasizing the Wifi network part. In fact that's probably generally untrue.
