Once you understand the values of Free Software, it is easy to participate in GNU Generation!

  1. First, make sure to join the mailing list. Announcements and information about GNU Generation will be occasionally (once or twice a month) posted to this list.
  2. Next, register for the wiki above and create a GNU Generation profile. This will give you the chance to show off all of the tasks you completed, and any projects you are a part of.
  3. You also will probably want to hang out on the IRC channel (#gnu_generation on irc.freenode.net), join the discussion mailing list, or dent to the identi.ca group. Most discussion occurs on the IRC channel listed above.

That's it! Now you can start completing tasks. Check out the FAQs, or ask on IRC or the mailing list if you have any questions.
