2) Four feminist freedoms for the free software community (Hillary)

1) Logo - we decided not to have a contest. Mairin is exploring two logo ideas; one depicting a stylized woman like the girl scouts logo and one that's a cartoon lady driving a GNUbot. Additional ideas may also be considered at next month's IRC mtg.
3) Speaker's bureau, compiling and promoting it

4) Get computers into girls' hands (Hillary/Leslie?)

2) Four feminist freedoms for the free software community - We tabled this item and will look at it more this month over email.
5) Day long summit on women's participation in the spring (Deborah)

6) Couch surfing network for women in free software

3) Speaker's bureau, compiling and promoting it - A list of FLOSS speakers has already been started on the geekfeminism wiki. We decided that our efforts would be best spent developing strategy and sharing resources. Deborah is setting up a flossspeakher@gnu.org mailing list for sharing speaking opportunities, encouraging conference organizers to post speaking opportunities as well as sharing and discussing speaker training opportunities.

The agenda and minutes for the first IRC meeting on October 27th, 2009

1) Logo - we decided not to have a contest. Mairin is exploring two logo ideas; one depicting a stylized woman like the girl scouts logo and one that's a cartoon lady driving a GNUbot. Additional ideas may also be considered at next month's IRC mtg.

2) Four feminist freedoms for the free software community - We tabled this item and will look at it more this month over email.
