Provide BIND and a Dynamic DNS function in every free network service that one can download and install.
Empowerment. Have them name their machine, but also give them the power to give domain names themselves!
That's how!
Give them a slot to enter a domain name for themselves (which is more effective for turning users from consumers to producers than one usually notices). BUT ALSO give them the option of providing to those who visit their machines, their own Dynamic DNS that points at the visitors' machines -- whereat they can install their own instances of the original application if they wish, immediately accessible to the whole world by name.
