Revision as of 15:12, 29 September 2014
This page describes the changes between the different versions of the guide. The workflow for updating to a new version goes like this:
1) The FSF makes changes to the English version of the guide. They may be only on the dev version at enc-dev0.fsf.org or they may be copied to the live version at emailselfdefense.fsf.org. All translators will be made aware which is the case. When the FSF updates the translation, the version number in the footer will be updated.
2) The maintainers or currently active translators of all versions will be made aware of the changes. They then update their translation on enc-dev0.fsf.org and update the version number. When they are finished with the update and the changes have been reviewed by at least one other speaker of both English and the target language, the maintainer lets the FSF know and the FSF copies over the updated translation to the live site at emailselfdefense.fsf.org.

Launched translations
- All Edward versions with special characters will have broken
characters unless the email client is set to use UTF-8 by default. The FSF has deemed this a non-blocking issue and will go ahead with launch. A volunteer is currently testing a version of Edward that uses UTF-8 by default.
