Hello World!

When I started in computers back in 1993 I bought from a pawn shop my first computer an Amstrad PC6400 (Intel 8086, 8 MHz, 640 KB RAM, CGA) computer which came with a nifty little window manager called GEM, everyone else was using Win 3.1 and everyone was very hyped about the OS, I on the other hand was very happy with my different looking OS. I did not know it back then but I was taking my first steps into a greater world, I was just barely learning about computers and already I knew there were different things than just Windows and DOS

After my old Amstrad died I was left with no choice but to use Win 98, this made me feel very uneasy since I was already accustomed to using something other than Win so I sought out this Linux I had been hearing so much about and installed Mandrake Linux Leeloo an ever since then I have been a user of Open Source and Free Software, however it was not until I found out about the GNU and the GPL did I fully comprehend the greater worth behind Open Source and Free Software
