The track on Sunday March 21st

round-table discussion/workshop on recruiting/retaining women

"Concrete things your org/company/project can do to increase your recruitment and retention of women"

1 thing that could be done is to ask each participant to think of one action item that they/their company can do to increase/promote either recruitment or retention

i.e. make it clear that people should be actually bringing along a concrete idea of something that they could offer/do

Pre-conference meet-up for women Marina, Mairin and Deb to find a quiet, not 21+ place for a women's dinner on Friday, near the T, with vegan food. This discussion to be finished off online.

have a moderated Q&A where people can ask about things they've tried and ask for advice on improving

(I say moderated so we don't get 10 versions of the same question)

More recruitment/promotion ideas:

Both Hannah (upenn, umass amherst, harvard, stanford, mills, hampshire college...) and Marina (MIT) agreed to send invites to their contacts at universities. Karen agreed to talk to Sugar

Stormy: everyone should blog this

Scholarship ideas: try all the Grace Hopper sponsors? have FSF apply for grant(s)
