Minutes of Meeting of 14th March 2011
Time: 19:00, Monday 14th March 2011.
Present: Michael (chair, minutes), Llewyn.
Apologies: J.P. (but partial participation via phone.)
Introductions
None.
Last Meeting
Minutes of last meeting dated 7th February 2011 were approved as correct by Michael and Llewyn. Manchester/2011-02-07/Minutes.
Announcements and other business
Llewyn - 3rd Tuesday of month. Mike explained about group meetings and MFS's mission.
Llewyn - integration with others. Mike said about SFD and how we worked with others.
Team
Speakers
J.P. - Intro to the command line, maybe at MANLUG.
ACTION: - Llewyn to contact Mick Fuzz about him speaking again.
ACTION: - Mike to ask PPUK chair to do a Free Software and the PPUK talk.
ACTION: - Mike to do freedom box talk, demo, discussion.
ACTION: - Mike to arrange Puppet workshopie.
ACTION: - Mike to ask for speakers at MFS group meeting.
Manchester University Society
J.P. reports no progress.
ACTION: - J.P. arrange meeting with Luke.
GNOME 3.0 Launch Party
J.P. said quite a few members and Code Think people are going to help run it.
ACTION: - J.P. to post to the main list in next few days about the GNOME 3.0 Launch Party.
Chorlton's Big Green Festival 2011
Mike explained how we really need 4 people to run the stall so that it is a fun experience that people will want to do again.
ACTION: - Llewyn to recruit at least 2 more people for helping with Chorlton's Big Green Festival 2011 so that we have 4 people in total.
SFD2011
J.P. agrees for now on two events. A Madlab one and a Manchester Uni one.
ACTION: - Mike to send Llewyn text of the poster he drew up.
Merchandise
Mike explained about the 2nd edition should be printed.
Promotional Material
ACTION: - Mike will update leaflets.

ACTION: - Llewyn to design MFS group meeting notice for Madlab door.
ACTION: - Llewyn to investigate badge making machines.
Move undone actions to next week.
