Overview
End Software Patents is a campaign to abolish software patents, globally. To achieve this, we must either change the law, change the practice of patent offices, or participate in court cases to secure rulings confirming that patents on software ideas are not valid.
This is in contrast with many other anti-swpat campaigns which focus on reducing harm. These approaches can only solve minor instances of the problem - like trying to eradicate malaria by swatting mosquitoes.
